Amherst PTA Production of Children of Eden

The Amherst PTA will present its 58th annual production, “Children of Eden”, April 8-11, 2010.  With lyrics and music by Stephen Schwartz (the creator of Wicked, Godspell, and Pippin), “Children of Eden” is a story of parents, children and faith.

Although audiences will recognize the characters of “Children of Eden” from the Old Testament, this joyous and inspirational musical is more than a retelling of the well-known stories of Adam & Eve, Cain & Abel, and Noah & his family.  “Children of Eden” is an honest, heartfelt, and often humorous exploration of the relationships between parents and children.  Adam, Eve, Noah, and the “Father” who created them must deal with the daring and often confrontational choices of their respective children.  The show ultimately recognizes that “the hardest part of love is letting go” and provides hope for believing in second chances.

“Children of Eden” will be performed at Souhegan High School, 412 Boston Post Rd., Amherst, NH, April 8, 9 & 10 at 7pm, and April 10 & 11 at 2pm.  Tickets will be available on-line and at the following establishments in Amherst: The Black Forest, Moulton’s Market, and Homestead Grocery and Deli, as well as The Toadstool Bookshop in Milford.
